Friday links

Apologies for the sparse week of blogging, I was away until yesterday and have had no access to my computer or internet. So this morning when I was thinking of what to share for links, found this one interesting about the town I live in, Olds.

It is rated the 3rd top community to do business in in Alberta! Olds was the smallest community in the survey and beat out bigger centers like Red Deer, Airdrie, Lethbridge and even Calgary and Edmonton. Our little town is a special place, and everyone works hard to make it special. I feel proud to be part of a great community.

with Remembrance Day on Monday, and having the time to stop and reflect how fortunate we are to live in Canada, this link caught my eye

Enjoy the long weekend, catch up on sleep, spend time with family and friends, go check out the snowy outdoors and all the craft shows and sales that are popping up for the holidays. Remember to spread some smiles!

friday links

Welcome to November, it is time to turn our clocks back an hour this Sunday giving us a whole extra hour to sleep in, and for some it is the start of winter with the days getting shorter, spending more time indoors being cozy and warm. I simply endure winter with lots of movie nights and plow through my stack of books that didn't get read over the summer. Whatever the start of winter means to you, embrace it and remember it is only 6 plus months till spring is back!

I came across this link after hearing an interview with the blogger on CBC radio one. This site is fabulous, there are so many layers to it, really love it and find myself checking daily to see what is new!

This is a very visual blog and so creative for moms and ladies who have a certain creative flare

I had a chance to "pay it forward" a couple times this week, it felt so good. Fill your heart up with love and happiness and it cant help but to spill over to those you meet!

winter gear

With the first official snowfall of the season, it has left the trees and ground covered with a white blanket of snow, but the roads into a frozen skating rink!  take it slow out there! My crab apple tree in the backyard has robins all puffed up plucking a few frozen berries to fill them up for their long flight to somewhere a lot warmer. So although I wont be embracing the winter that has started way to early, it is more of building up a tolerance for the long cold months ahead.
